The spectacular Prom & Beyond Fashion Show Extravaganza video is now live on Youtube! The West Geauga After Prom Committee planned and hosted a spectacular fashion show highlighting our West Geauga Seniors for the Class of 2015. We could not have hosted this first ever event in our community without the support of our students, parents, local business and school administration. We wanted to take the time to thank the many students, parents and businesses who made this event possible. The impressive tuxedos and gowns were donated by American Commodore Tuxes and Gowns, as well as David’s Bridal supplying beautiful dresses. Our local salons and florists donated their time in making our senior students look beautiful. Thank you to Avanti’s Salon, Galiardi’s Hair Talk, Gary Ann’s Hair Studio, and John Anthony of Novelty. A special thank you to DJ Force, Top Dog Band, American Commodore Dancers and Jasmine Dragons for donating their time and energy to provide a special spark to the afternoon with their dazzling entertainment. Our committee chairs, Marie Hall, Michele Springsteel, Caroline Concilla and Troy Kucera went above and beyond, in record time, developing this show, which we hope becomes a new Senior WG tradition. Thank you to the many tireless volunteers who assisted this committee in taking this vision and making it come to life. It takes a village to host an event of this size, and Chesterland is an amazing “village”!
Month: March 2015
It’s time for our annual Flea Market & Craft Fair. Please bring all your used and unloved household items and junk to the West Geauga Middle School tomorrow to donate it for the flea market. The more stuff the better selection. We will take any household item, except appliances and clothing. If you haven’t cleaned your closets in awhile, tonight is the night!
The vendor space is almost sold out, so we are looking forward to an interesting market. We will also have Chinese raffle baskets, a bake sale, as well as selling our prom limo raffle tickets and Coach purse raffle tickets. Hope to see you at the middle school this weekend, either donating items or visiting the market on Sunday!
If anyone is interested in baking for the flea market, we are having a bake sale as part of the tradition of the weekend. If you would like to bake delicious goodies for us to sell, please package them in small baggies to sell, and bring them to the middle school anytime tomorrow. Every cookie sold help warm the sole and raise money for After Prom.
Thank you to the many people who made our first Prom & Beyond Fashion Show Extravaganza an amazing success. We can’t thank the fabulous senior models enough, for all they did in dedicating their time and energy to make this day memorable. Many went beyond their comfort zones to entertain the audience. From spectacular dresses to impressive looking tuxedos, they all look great!
The community rallied around this event, providing donations, contributing to basket raffles, and visiting our vendors who tested the waters this first year with us. Our first event was attended by over 300 guests, who had the opportunity to visit vendors, including, caterers, bakeries, florists, salons, jewelry, tents and others.
From parents, to siblings, to grandparents and more, all were entertained by Jazmine Dragons, Top Dog Band, and the American Commodore Dancers. In the end the events created a spectacular afternoon for our West Geauga community. We hope that this was just the first of many more fashion events to grace the West Geauga community.
